Scale board conveyer is a kind of general fixed mechanical conveying equipment, using the steel plate to do the carrying tank, which can be used for a large number of bulk material and a single weight transport. It is especially suitable for large, heavy, hot and corrosive materials, and can be used to clean the pouring riser, cooling, drying, heating, cleaning and sorting in the process of conveying. Widely used in machinery, casting, metallurgy, chemical industry, building materials, power, mining and other industrial sectors.
Compared with BLT scale plate conveyor, JYB scale plate conveyor has high traction, uses 16 manganese steel as the main tank body, good groove plate rigidity and impact resistance, so it is more suitable for conveying hot heavy castings and forgings.
As the core equipment for modern industrial material transportation, the scale board conveyor occupies an important position in heavy industries such as casting, metallurgy, and mining due to its high load-bearing capacity, high temperature resistance, and impact resistance. This article will deeply analyze the performance differences and optimization directions of the two mainstream models, BLT and JYB, from the dimensions of technical principles, material innovation, structural design, and industry adaptability.
1. Basic principles and common characteristics
The scale board conveyor uses a segmented steel plate chain as the load-bearing body, and realizes continuous transportation through the meshing transmission of the drive sprocket and the tensioning device. Its core features include:
Wide range load-bearing capacity: A single machine can transport a single piece of material with a weight of 0.5-5000kg, with a speed range of 0.02-0.4m/s, which is particularly suitable for the transportation needs of special workpieces such as casting risers (temperature up to 800ºC) and forging blanks (weight>2t).
Modular structure: It consists of four parts: chain plate assembly, drive device, tensioning mechanism, and frame. It supports horizontal (inclination ≤15°) or slightly inclined layout, and the length of a single machine can reach 200m.
Process complexity: Spray cooling (cooling rate ≥50ºC/min), vibration sand cleaning (residual sand removal rate >95%), magnetic separation (iron impurity separation efficiency 99%) and other processes can be integrated during the transportation process to achieve multifunctional integrated operation.
2. Material upgrade: Mechanical advantages of 16Mn steel
JYB type uses 16Mn low alloy steel (yield strength ≥345MPa, 30% higher than Q235B), and adds niobium, vanadium and other elements through micro-alloying process, and the grain size is refined to above 8 levels. Its tensile strength (510-660MPa) and low-temperature impact energy (≥34J at -20ºC) are significantly improved, which is particularly suitable for heavy-load impact conditions in open-pit mines in cold northern regions.
3. Traction system innovation
The JYB type is equipped with a double-row die-forged alloy chain (chain plate hardness HRC38-42), which adopts carburizing quenching + shot peening strengthening process, and the fatigue life reaches 1×10 cycles, which is 2.5 times higher than the BLT type sleeve chain. The gap between the chain links is automatically compensated by the hydraulic tensioner (accuracy ±2mm) to avoid the risk of tooth jumping due to thermal expansion.
4. Optimization of impact-resistant structure
The JYB type adds elastic buffer pads (polyurethane/metal laminated composite material) at the connection of the chain plate, which can absorb instantaneous impact energy of up to 30kJ, effectively reducing the structural damage of heavy forgings (such as 10t crankshafts) when falling. Actual measurements show that its failure downtime rate is 60% lower than that of the BLT type.
