Clay sand serves as the molding sand, utilizing clay for binding. The sand treatment department forms a cornerstone within any foundry setting, tasked with delivering top-tier molding sand to the core-making division. The meticulous preparation of this molding sand significantly shapes the quality of casting production, directly influencing the output levels and cost efficiency. Given the intricate nature of the sand treatment processes, the management of clay sand treatment, alongside its transportation, demands substantial effort and is conducted in challenging environments. Hence, the mechanization of these sand treatment processes emerges as a pivotal advancement in casting production.

Green Sand Production Line Process: Clay sand, serving as a modeling (core) sand with clay as its binder, undergoes a sophisticated mechanized recovery process crucial to foundry production. The superior quality of casting sand post-pouring heavily dictates the overall quality and output of castings while concurrently slashing costs. The elaborate recycling and treatment journey of used sand involves rigorous processing and transportation, often under harsh conditions, making mechanization a key component of foundry success. Post-pour, a vibrating shakeout machine (or drum shakeout machine) separates the cooled sand mold for casting sand isolation. The hot castings journey via a scale conveyor to the shot blasting zone. Meanwhile, a belt conveyor collects the spent sand at the shakeout machine's outlet, transporting it for regeneration. Suspended magnetic separators align crosswise with belt conveyors to extract iron particles, while a dust removal port purges dust from the sand. The rejuvenated sand then transitions into a small silo, cooled on a boiling bed, before the 2# bucket elevator hoists it vertically into a storage silo. From there, unloaders meticulously distribute the sand into bins equipped with vibrating disc feeders. This sand, further conveyed by belt to the rotor sand mixer storage hopper, merges with coal powder and bentonite via a screw feeder. Only after uniform mixing proportions, the sand enters the rotor mixer, ready for a new round of molding post-process by the sand loosening machine.
