Clay sand, a molding sand with clay acting as the binder, is pivotal in the foundry's sand treatment department. This department's prime role is to supply qualified molding sand to the core-making department. The preparation quality of this molding sand significantly influences casting production's quality, output, and cost efficiency. The sand treatment process is notably complex, demanding substantial effort for treatment and transportation under harsh conditions. The green sand production line process: Clay sand, utilized as a modeling (core) sand with clay as its binder, plays a critical role in foundry production. Streamlining the sand recovery process is essential as it directly influences the quality and efficiency of casting production while minimizing costs. Given the intricate recycling and processing demands, handling and transporting green sand is labor-intensive and conducted in challenging environments, emphasizing the need for mechanization in sand recovery. Post-pouring and cooling, the sand mold is efficiently separated via a vibrating shakeout machine (or drum shakeout machine), facilitating casting sand separation. The hot castings proceed to the shot blasting area via a scale conveyor. The sand outlet of the shakeout machine is integrated with a belt conveyor to transfer old sand to the regeneration area. Here, a suspended magnetic separator and belt conveyor arrange crosswise to eliminate iron beans from the old sand, and dust is extracted through a dedicated removal port. Post-screening, the old sand enters a small sand silo, cools via a boiling cooling bed, and the 2# bucket elevator vertically transports it to the sand silo for storage. The unloader allocates old sand to the 2# and 3# sand bins, equipped with a vibrating disc feeder at the bottom. The old sand descends into the belt conveyor, advancing to the rotor sand mixer's storage hopper, where coal powder and bentonite are added through the screw feeder. These components enter the rotor sand mixer for thorough mixing following precise proportioning. After processing by the sand loosening machine, it is transferred to the molding machine, ready for another cycle of molding applications.
