Resin sand, a core sand bound together with cutting-edge resin technology, offers a phenomenal solution for sand regeneration, ensuring maximum removal of the binder film on the sand's surface. This process not only adjusts the sand’s surface (particle size) for optimal reuse but presents an economical alternative to new sand. The regenerated old sand is a marvel in saving both new sand consumption and transportation costs for disposal. The resulting sand has uniform, smooth particles with great heat setup properties, enhancing casting quality. Reusing resin sand reduces the required resin additive amount, leading to lowered resin costs. Moreover, the process minimizes environmental impact by reducing waste sand pollution. This versatile production line also accommodates sodium silicate sand casting, employing a similar processing method.
Our advanced resin sand production line, with a robust annual capacity of 3000 to 10000 tons of castings, is configured with sophisticated PLC control. This ensures comprehensive protection and meticulous control over the electrical equipment, leading to a highly stable, reliable, and automated production process, as visually displayed on our simulation screens.
The intricate process flow of the resin sand production line begins with the hoisting of sand boxes and castings onto the inertia vibration shakeout machine post-pouring. Large jackets and risers are meticulously sorted manually, while finer sand, sand masses, and cold iron fragments pass through the falling sand grid to a magnetic separation belt conveyor. Following magnetic separation, these components are conveyed to a multi-functional vibrating crushing and regenerating machine for intensive crushing and stripping. Post-screening, the sand is elevated to a centrifugal rotor secondary regenerator for intensive regeneration and stripping. The flowing regenerated sand, mixed with fine powder and resin film, is directed to a flow curtain air separator. This separator, connected to a cyclone dust collector and a pulse back-blowing dust collector, ensures thorough removal of fine powder and dust. Subsequently, the regenerated centrifugal rotor and sand are elevated to the sand warehouse by a 2# bucket elevator, poised for further use. The mobile double-arm continuous resin sand mixer, equipped with a pneumatic shutter connecting the sand storage's bottom outlet, facilitates seamless sand flow into the mixer. Here, sand is propelled forward by a screw blade, with the curing agent introduced from a proximal valve and resin from another, post-premixing by a small blade. This results in a thorough mixing of curing agent, resin, and regenerated sand, subsequently delivered to the discharge port for automated flow into the sand box, primed for molding and core making. The sand is then transported to the self-hardening zone or undergoes alcohol paste combustion treatment, followed by a release material application, leading to box closure for pouring and cooling.
