Within the foundry, the sand treatment department holds a pivotal role, tasked with delivering high-quality molding sand to the molding core-making division. The preparation quality of this molding sand directly influences casting production quality, boosts output, and trims costs. Given the intricate nature of sand treatment, which involves a hefty workload and challenging environmental conditions, mechanizing this process is essential for advancing casting production efficiency.

Process of Green Sand Production Line: Utilizing clay as a binder, this modeling (core) sand undergoes a mechanized recovery process crucial to foundry production. The quality of reclaimed casting sand post-pouring is pivotal, impacting casting quality, boosting production, and diminishing costs. The used sand recycling and treatment process is complex, demanding significant effort in processing and transportation under harsh environmental conditions, necessitating mechanized sand recycling for efficient foundry operations. After casting and cooling, vibrating shakeout machines (such as drum shakeout machines) efficiently separate the casting sand. Hot castings are then whisked away to the shot blasting zone via a scale conveyor. A belt conveyor at the shakeout machine's sand outlet transports the spent sand to the regeneration zone, where a suspended magnetic separator and intersecting belt conveyor meticulously extract iron residues. Dust is ejected through the dust removal port, and the screened sand is funneled into a compact sand silo. Here, the used sand is cooled on a bubbling cooling bed, then hoisted via a 2# bucket elevator to a sand silo for storage. The unloader strategically distributes the sand into 2# and 3# sand bins, each equipped with a vibrating disc feeder at the base. The aged sand descends onto a belt conveyor, traversing to the rotor sand mixer's storage hopper. Coal powder and bentonite are precisely added by screw feeder to the electronic auxiliary scale, then uniformly blended in the rotor sand mixer. Post-processing in the sand loosening machine, the sand is conveyed to molding machines, ready for another cycle of molding.
