Resin sand is a specialized core sand utilizing resin as a binding agent. The rejuvenation of used sand involves the meticulous removal of the resin film coating the sand particles, adjusting their surface characteristics and particle size to an optimum state. This process is an economically savvy alternative to using new sand. By recycling old sand, we achieve four key objectives: reducing the need for new sand, cutting transportation costs for waste sand disposal, achieving uniformly smooth and thermally stable recycled sand particles, and significantly enhancing casting quality. Particularly when recycled, the resin sand allows for reduced resin addition, slashing resin costs. Moreover, this process substantially mitigates environmental impact from waste sand. Our production line is also adaptable for sodium silicate sand casting, sharing similar processes.
Our state-of-the-art resin sand production line boasts a regeneration processing system with an impressive capacity of producing between 3,000 to 10,000 tons of castings annually. It features advanced PLC control for electrical equipment, ensuring comprehensive restrictions and protections. The simulation screen guarantees stable and reliable operations, achieving seamless automated production.
The resin sand production line process flow is a testament to innovation: post-pouring, the sand box and castings are elevated to the inertia vibration shakeout machine. Manual sorting removes large jackets and risers, while sand, smaller sand masses, and bits of cold iron descend through the falling sand grid to the magnetic separation belt conveyor. Post magnetic separation, the materials journey to the multi-functional vibrating crushing and stripping machine. After thorough screening, the sand ascends via the 1# bucket elevator to the centrifugal rotor secondary regenerator for intense regeneration and comprehensive stripping. The resulting regenerated sand flows seamlessly into the flow curtain air separator, integrated with a cyclone dust collector and a pulse-type back-blowing dust collector, to eliminate fine powders and dust. The regenerated sand then moves to the sand warehouse, facilitated by the 2# bucket elevator, awaiting further use. The mobile double-arm continuous resin sand mixer's upper feeding port connects with the sand outlet beneath the sand storage via a pneumatic shutter. Sand flows efficiently into the mixer where it moves forward through a screw blade, preliminarily mixed with a curing agent from a proximal control valve, and resin from another valve. At the sand mixing end, these components are rigorously mixed with regenerated sand before reaching the discharge port, ready to flow into prepared sand boxes for modeling and core making. The mixture is then transported to the self-hardening area or treated with alcohol paste for combustion, ultimately brushed with release material to dry and sealed for pouring and cooling.
